Growing up in northern Ontario, Canada, Vanessa has always loved exploring. Photography, travel, and writing feed her curiosity and help her care more about the planet, people, flora, and fauna that share it with us. After graduating with a degree in image arts from Ryerson University, she settled in Ottawa where she’s been a professional photographer since 2007. Her images have won numerous awards with the Professional Photographers of Canada and she was named Photographic Artist of the Year for Ontario in 2018.
